Red Rock Shipping Rates

Our rates are amount-based. All "Days" referred to below are BUSINESS DAYS.

For January thru April, 2010, we are CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. Please do NOT place an order requesting overnight OR 2-3 day delivery on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays because it simply will not get to you in time. UPS and Speedee do not pick up on weekends here.

Please plan ahead when ordering. Ordering early helps everybody especially in the event that we don't have an item in stock. Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but we run out of merchandise and have to re-order. Also, please note that just because our software lets you place the order does not mean that we absolutely have it in stock. That is always our goal but not always possible.

United States Order Delivery for lower 48 states
Standard Delivery: In-stock merchandise will "usually" arrive in about 3-6 business days (not counting weekends or holidays) after the order has been received. Orders are shipped out via UPS, SpeeDee, or USPS. We carry an extensive inventory in house and usually can ship out right away. However, if the item is not in stock, we generally attempt to get the item in to us for ship out to you ASAP. Unfortunately, not all of our suppliers are consistent or fast. We do our best to fulfill the order but sometimes, it's just going to be late, period. We'll try to let you know if we can't ship out in a day or so, but please realize that in very busy times (especially mid to late December), that's sometimes easier said than done. Express Shipping: Red Rock will ship your order out via air or ground whichever is faster. Larger and/or heavy items may require additional charges over and above the prices listed below and we will add those additional charges to your credit card manually. Those prices reflect shipping items weighing 9 lbs. or less. Also, read the note in the yellow box below the shipping price chart. Shipping items over 9 lbs. WILL get expensive and this includes all ice shelters, electronics and more.
Overnight Express Shipping: Your in-stock order must be placed before 10:30 AM Central Standard Time (Monday - Friday) to be delivered the next business day. Note that orders placed on Friday will be delivered on Monday. This service is just plain expensive, so don't be shocked especially when ordering things over nine (9) pounds in weight.

January through April: Orders requiring express shipments which were placed on Friday afternoon thru the weekend, will not leave Red Rock until Tuesday of the coming week. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays for the months of January, February, March, and April. Please take this into account when ordering over the weekend and expecting express delivery on Monday. It'll go out on Tuesday if it is in stock. Or, in plain English, ordering with desired express shipping on Friday after 10:30 AM or anytime on Saturday or Sunday will not be very express. It's going to ship out on Tuesday IF it's in stock.

*NOTICE: For Express & Overnight Delivery, your order needs to be in our hands no later than 10:30 AM Tuesday thruThursday so we can get it on the truck. Don't expect overnight delivery for orders placed on Friday or any day of the weekends. Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories must allow 1-2 business days for delivery. Overnight Express orders placed after 10:30 AM will be shipped out the following business day.
Shipping delivery estimates above are valid for in stock items only. Items that we have to order in for whatever reason, will be delayed.

Heavy/Bulky Items to be expedited: The above rates for expedited orders are for items weighing 9 pounds or less. Heavy/bulky items such as ice fishing shelters, cameras, fish locaters, batteries, canoe paddles, fishing rods, Snap in Seats etc. will be adjusted and charged ADDITIONALLY for expedited orders over and above the prices displayed. Prices will vary with regard to the item. Plan ahead - heavy stuff and bulky items are very expensive to ship out fast. For Next day shipping on these items we will go with the closest rate that you paid we usually will do 2nd or 3 day select for these items! But if you want to the next day delivery on heavy/bulky items just put in the special instructions to go ahead and charge you.


Regarding Canadian Orders: For items shipped to Canada, we charge basic ground shipping using US Postal Service where ever possible. Before the item gets to you, it must pass through Canadian Customs which takes about 6-10 days, but it can be delayed in Customs as well. We never know for sure. When it arrives, you will be charged any Canadian taxes, duties, and/or possibly other charges as well before you can accept the order. Big, bulky items will need to go via UPS and there may be extra brokerage fees charged by UPS. Fedex is not any better.

Being that we are from the US, we don't know Canadian laws regarding taxes, fire-proofing, silly safety measures, or other zany rules adopted by Canada from the State of California. We DO know all those charges can vary across Canada. For example, the 23 lb. Aqua Vu Pack Shack which is a small, solo ice shelter that retails for $89.95 costs $29.95 ($119.90 total) to deliver TO you which is what we charge. From us, it goes to Canadian customs and gets processed for 7 to 10 days. From Customs, it gets re-picked up by UPS and delivered to you. UPS then charges you $45 to $70 ADDITIONALLY for the item before they hand it over. The extra charge reflects brokerage fees, taxes and duties. This is how it is and that's all we know. It's not our fault and we do not control any aspect of the shipping/delivery on the Canadian side of the border. It is difficult and expensive process to get any product to Canada and it has nothing do to with the United States or Red Rock and everything to do with the Canadian government. Don't yell at us if it costs you more for any products you receive from us.

We, at Red Rock think that all of these extra charges that Canadians have to pay are a RIP-OFF so we do try to send USPS whenever possible.
