Red Rock's Shipping Information

We ship out most product within one to two business days of receiving your order as long as it's in stock. If you order on a Friday afternoon, it isn't going to ship out until Monday or Tuesday. If you order on the weekend, it ships out Monday or Tuesday. If it's January thru April and you order late on Friday or the weekend, or on Mondays when we are closed in the middle of winter, it ships out on Tuesday or Wednesday.

We try to stay stocked with all product online. On occasion, we may have to order an item so it may take a few days to get it in to us and then out to you. If you have a question about product availability, please email us here: redrock@redrockstore.com with your questions if you need to make a deadline. By deadline, we mean you are going on a trip and need to get the item.

If we get your order before 10AM we may get it out the same day. If we can do it, we will. We ship with Speedee Delivery (Midwestern states), US Postal Service (smaller items all over if it's going to work out) and UPS Ground (the rest of the US and sometimes the Midwest). We ship US Postal Service to most of Canada whenever possible and DO use UPS Ground if the item has to get there quicker. UPS Ground will hose you with brokerage fees. Because the US Postal Service operates at a $7 Billion dollar yearly loss, they take things to Canada for less money - shock!

Sometimes, because of the end shipping destination, we need to make changes in how we ship an item. Sometimes, we need to charge more for shipping of things that are hard to get to you. This applies to heavy bulky things, big light boxes, little heavy boxes, Canadian and European shipments and items going to Alaska. Even shipping a pair of socks to Alaska can be expensive. Since we do not have a crack team of shippers who can run the numbers on every possible permutation of shipping combination/cost possibilities, we can't tell you the final ship price on some of these order combinations to various distant locations until we box it up, weigh it, and run the numbers. If you buy a $29.95 boat anchor that weighs 20 pounds and need it shipped to Alaska, it is going to cost FAR more than the $5.95 listed shipping price below. If you need an item that weighs more than a pound expedited to a faraway place, expect that the shipping will be very costly. This is neither difficult nor unacceptable to understand. This should be common sense. If you have a question about shipping costs, email us here.

We do our best to keep seasonal items in stock during the season. So don't be shocked that we have a paddle listed online in January and it's not actually in stock but TONS of ice fishing gear are in stock at that time. Also, no matter how you'd like to perceive us, we are not a big box retailer with a main buyer sitting in an ivory tower somewhere in Nebraska with 100 employees running around counting and hauling merchandise to the masses at each store. We sometimes do run out of stuff and have to re-order. It may take a few days or with Nils Master augers, et al, a few weeks to get here. If you seriously want it, you better buy it while you can and then be willing/able to wait. Some stuff is just plain hard to keep in stock due to unpredicatable demand.

Unlike big box retailers, however, we will still try to get you the gear after January 15th. Our buddies, the big box retailers, are already telling their customers that there are "none left at their distributor" which is a flat-out lie sometimes. That's why they are out of stock and we still have product in the middle of ice fishing season. Their centrally-located, very-important buyer is already thinking about turkey season coming up this spring and how he's going to get you to purchase a bunch of cheaply made, expensively priced, house-brand clothing and toys. You'll look good with all those big-box labels stuck to all of your clothing, rods and reels, etc. When that house-brand stuff conks out quickly as some of it does, just throw it out because the low-bidder made one production run for the big-box retailer and there are no replacement parts. That, and a whole bunch of other things makes us different than those big corporate hunting/fishing outfits. We also don't wear suits to work.

Standard Shipping with UPS Ground in Continental USA and US Priority Mail - lower 48 states -

Delivery takes about 2-3 business days (Mon-Fri) for Minnesota addresses, 4-5 business days for other Midwest states, and 6-8 business days for most other places. If it takes a day or two longer, that is beyond our control. Weather like floods, Midwest snowstorms and the like inexplicably slow shipments down. This is not challenge to understand.

$.01 - $29.99 = $5.95
$30.00 - $49.99 = $6.95
$50.00 - $99.99 = $7.95
$100.00 - $149.99 = $8.95
$150.00 - $199.99 = $9.95
$200.00 + = $10.95

Next Day Air Prices: Call or Email us to get Next Day Air prices - these are going to be really expensive.

NOTE: So we can cut down on "explaining time" when you inquire: Ice Shelters, flashers, power augers, hand augers, snap-in seats, paddles, summer fishing rods, other fish locators, and anything that is bigger than a 6" X 6" X 12" box and/or weighs more than 9 pounds is going to be expensive to very expensive, to ship to you using expedited shipping options. Plan ahead. 2-3 day shipping with UPS does NOT cover the pick-up day here and IS affected by your distance from us. Just because you can see northeastern Minnesota and your state on the same map together does not make us closer to each other. Bear that in mind when you decide to blow a bunch of money on expedited shipping -because you HAVE to have it one month earlier than your big adventure, OR you need it to arrive 2 seconds before you leave on your big adventure. Don't be mad at us when everything didn't play out exactly as it did in your mental picture as to how everything was "supposed" to go. We're not the ones who charge that shipping price for expedited shipping; it's UPS. We're not the ones who hauls it to you. That's the delvery service as well. So please don't be a hot-headed, offensive, dork like several of our customers have been in the recent past when everything didn't work out perfectly for them. We're not in the shipping business and we don't ever want to be, either.

Canadian Orders

For items shipped to Canada, we charge basic ground shipping using US Postal Service where ever possible. Before the item gets to you, it must pass through Canadian Customs which takes about 6-10 business days (usually), but it can be delayed in Customs as well. We never know for sure. When it arrives, you will be charged any Canadian taxes, duties, and/or possibly other charges as well before you can accept the order. Big, bulky items will need to go via UPS and there may be extra brokerage fees charged by UPS. Fedex is not any better.

Canadians: This year, several orders that we've shipped to Canada have been literally STUCK in Canada Customs. We have NO control over that. We can't tell you how long it's going to be in Customs or where it is, or why it is there. We also can't find it when it is buried in Canada Customs.

Advice: If feasible, many of our Canadian Customers have their items shipped to several different pick-up services in the US along the border. This way they get the advantage of relatively inexpensive shipping and not having to pay the brokerage fees when hauling across the border.

GST, Duties, and Broker fees are not included in our prices for Canadian orders. You will be charged these extra costs at the time you receive the items in Canada.

Red Rock Shipping Hours:

You have to get your order in to us before 10 AM (Tuesday thru Friday) if you want a shot at getting it shipped out on that same day. Note that the term "shot" is used. We will try but make no guarrantees. Otherwise, it's going out the next day assuming we have it in stock. Tuesdays mornings are really, really busy here with lots of weekend orders being packed up. We do our very best to get everything on the truck, but we CAN run out of an item since our customers are shopping around the clock. Just so you know, we don't have a team of staff just watching those orders come in around the clock on Sunday nights - we are actually asleep when some of you are ordering online. As a result of our needing sleep (and several other legitimate reasons), there might be a shortage of some products once in a while. We also can't always answer the phone until after 1 PM (or at all on Tuesdays) on regular work days due to our frantically packing stuff up to beat the UPS truck, so leave a message or call back after 1 PM CST but not on Tuesdays in the winter.

From about mid-March to mid-November we usually can get to the phone in the mornings. If not, leave a message or email us.

For January thru April 30 of each year we are CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. That's when I go ice fishing and my wife does her thing. Our employees are off as well. Assuming that expedited (or any) shipping is available on Friday after 11 AM, or on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, is an exercise in futility - or a complete waste of time. We're open on Saturdays in the store but UPS, Speedee, and USPS do not pick up on weekends here. In fact, in most places, UPS, Speedee, and Fedex do not pick up or deliver on weekends at all. We know you know that.
