Tranquility Solo Volume and Payload Capacity
HI!
Have been thinking about solo canoe and saw Tranq Solo Souris River rudder version. A couple of ?’s
1. I weight 225 pounds and wonder if this boat has capacity for me plus plenty of gear for a 10 day solo canoe trip. Yes. Unless you are transporting gold bullion, you should be fine. Pay load to a 6" water line is 450 lbs. It's doubtful that you'd be carrying 200 lbs. of gear and food on a solo trip unless you were on some cruel and strange fitness regimen. The only factor that will affect you is bulk. Regular gear and food is relatively not that heavy, but it's bulky. The smaller your gear, the more compact your packs, the easier it will be. I suspect that if you've soloed before you've probably already begun the equipment-size-shrinking process after one or two trips out.
2. Can I pick one up in late June from your store with deposit. ( Can they be shipped (zip code 53105) and how much for shipping) You can pick one up here no problem or we can ship it but that will cost an extra $200. We have to build a special crate, put it on a semi and ship it to a transfer station near you.
3. Can you give me a price on one for that general pickup time:
a.
Kevlar/Epoxy
Regular
kevlar, with silver trim. rudder & height adjustable seat is $2320 or $2170 until March 15 during
our Sportshow special.
b.
Le Tigre
Le Tigre
kevlar with black trim (standard on Le Tigre's) seat and rudder pkg is $2420 or $2270 now until
15th.
c.
Standard
gunnels
Not sure how to answer
this question.
Gold
or black anodized gunwales cost $54 extra. Silver anodized gunwales are standard except on any Le
Tigre models which come with either black or gold gunwales.
d.
Seat height
adjustment
$75 for this option
Thanks!
Al
